SOMETIMES it is hard to see the wood from the trees in politics, particularly when the government is forced by the largely Tory country folk of England to abandon plans to sell of vast tracks of publicly owned forests.
But amid the flurry of activity on constitutional issues, student tuition fees, welfare, English education reform, not to mention trees, there is and remains one constant subject by which this coalition will live or die.
