APOLOGIES for sounding like a man from the Met Office, but while the forecast for the next few days may be gloomy, the long term outlook for racing in Scotland continues to be sunny and bright.

Newly published figures show that the average daily attendance at the five tartan tracks for the first six months of this year increased by 5 per cent, thus continuing the upward trend which has been evident in recent years.
