Rangers: Murray Not Buying Ibrox

JOHN McClelland, the Rangers chairman, yesterday refuted suggestions that the Scottish champions were planning to sell Ibrox Stadium to his predecessor, David Murray, and sign a long-term lease agreement for their 104-year old home.

It was claimed that Rangers would sell the ground to one of honorary chairman and majority shareholder Murray's companies for GBP 70million, then pay a rent of GBP 5million a year for the next 25 years.
