TAYSIDE Police yesterday appealed for the public's help after a red kite was found badly injured after being blasted by a shotgun.

The protected bird of prey was found lying injured in a burn on the outskirts of Braco, Perthshire, by a dog walker. Subsequent X- rays revealed that it had a broken wing and five shotgun pellets were lodged in its body.
