ROYAL Bank of Scotland will today launch a "business hotline" for small firms that have been turned down for credit.
The part-nationalised bank claimed the free service, open to all companies, not just clients of RBS, would give users a "fair hearing", with the promise of a "full reinvestigation" if it had turned down a previous application for credit. Businesses, particularly at the smaller end of the scale, have been critical of the big banks' attitude to lending since the onset of the credit crisis, accusing them of cutting off funding or attaching Draconian conditions.See the full content of this document
