SONG and Dance begins with an ending. There is enthusiastic applause in the distant auditorium. Meanwhile, on our stage - the backstage - the male lead sashays into the wings to dump a bouquet before bounding out for another curtain call. The show is over: what we get is the show after the show. In the dressing room, the dancer takes off his wig, frilly shirt and ballet pumps.
