A NEW era for Scottish rugby gets under way this evening when Andy Robinson leads the A team into competitive action for the first time since he was made Scotland's head coach.

With the dust settling on the appointment, so widely expected there was not an iota of surprise in the SRU's decision last week, the real work now begins. Frank Hadden enjoyed winning starts against the Barbarians and then Romania in which to impose his coaching philosophy on Scotland's elite players at the start of his tenure in 2005.
