A ROW has erupted over the transport minister's hands-on role during the cold spell, after an opponent questioned whether he should have spent so much time in the Transport Scotland traffic control room.

Keith Brown's opposite number, Labour transport spokesman Charlie Gordon, suggested the minister's presence could be off-putting for Transport Scotland officials, who are trying to keep traffic moving.
