BUDGET airline Ryanair has entered the race to enable passengers to use mobile phones during flights, by announcing that it will offer the service on its entire fleet, starting next year.

The airline said the first 50 of its 134 aircraft would be equipped for the service from mid-2007, if it wins official approval. The rest would follow in 2008.
