Summary
DOWNSTAIRS in the Neptune Lounge, an entertainer ran through his repertoire of inoffensive jokes and family favourites before a willing audience. Outside, the midnight sun was going down on an almost benign North Sea as we sailed towards our destination, just over 24 hours after we had departed from Leith. The morning would bring our first sight of Norway.
Stepping out on deck, it transpired a minority of three passengers among the 400 on board had eschewed the sing-along version of Amazing Grace, to stare wistfully across the water to the horizon, allowing the mind to wander and imagine a school of playful dolphins; the kind of scene that only happens in tourist brochures and wildlife documentaries.See the full content of this document
