SCOTTISH Enterprise's policy of picking priority industries is "too rigid" and "risks missing out on the growth industries of the future" one of Scotland's leading electronics manufacturers has warned.

Speaking at the SCDI Forum in St Andrews entitled yesterday, Gerry Edwards, vice president and managing director of Greenock- based National Semiconducter cautioned the enterprise network against making investment decisions based solely on its own designation of "priority industries".
