Sevens Role for Gallagher, Moffat

Summary

FORMER Borders coaches Rob Moffat and Peter Gallagher are to reunite to spearhead Scotland's bid to qualify for the 2005 Rugby World Cup Sevens.

The pair were the district's first full-time professional coaches in 1997/98, but when the Borders was then merged with Edinburgh Moffat was moved to Glasgow and Gallagher to a new role inside Murrayfield. Moffat has since returned to the new Borders team, and he will continue as Tony Gilbert's assistant while coaching the Scotland sevens team in four tournaments on the IRB circuit later this spring, while Gallagher has taken over from Roy Laidlaw as the SRU's sevens programme manager.
