There are a lot of professions which combine with that of actor - waiter or barmaid are the most usual at the starting-out stage. But a growing number of thespians are combining life on the stage with property development, with great success. Fiona Fullerton is a noted example; the former Bond villainess and child star of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is now a property investment guru, with several books on the subject and a large portfolio of property.

Combining the professions makes sense, as acting success can be transient - rewards may be high, but also few and far between. And investing in bricks and mortar after a major role is usually more secure than buying a stretch limo.
