SIR Sean may be a Knight of the Realm and "the sexiest old geezer in the world", but he has finally received the ultimate accolade: membership of the Halkin Street howff, otherwise known as the Caledonian Club in London.

Connery has been approved by the committee of the private members' club for Scottish gentlemen in the heart of Belgravia after he was proposed by no less than another Knight of the Realm, Sir Eck of Govan, the gentleman manager of Manchester United.
