WARNING: the following article may contain pipe-smoking. There's a brilliantly funny sketch on the BBC's Armstrong & Miller Show, which features two RAF pilots from the Second World War. They're speaking in patois, but it's not the upper-class stuff familiar from the movies, it's the jargon of the streets today. Here's an edited extract:

Pilot One: "Jumbo Wilkins got shot down last week and it was, like, really bad because he died and everything."

Pilot One: "So I goes into the group commander - yeah? - the next day and I say: 'I saw this geezer die - yeah? - and I almost died myself so I, like, want some compensation.' But he goes: 'No way, eff off.'"
