TOO many people are being killed or injured at work in Britain and the government urgently needs to undertake a radical reform of the country's health and safety culture, according to the cross- party Commons' work and pensions select committee.

In a report published yesterday, it called for a new offence of corporate killing, stiffer penalties for offending employers and twice as many Health and Safety Executive inspectors to enforce laws.
