GORDON Strachan last night refuted suggestions of a rift between himself and Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell, and denied Kenny Miller was forced into making his GBP 2.5million move to Derby County on Friday.
The Celtic manager was responding to claims by Miller in a Sunday newspaper that he was told by Lawwell he would have to leave Celtic as he had no chance of holding down a regular first-team place with the Scottish champions. The Scotland striker also articulated his belief Lawwell, rather than Strachan, decides which players are bought and sold by the club.See the full content of this document
