Summary


CHAVS, scallies, Kevs, Kappa slappers, bazzas, yarcos and hood rats. Chances are, most of the terms used to describe an increasingly recognisable subset of urban humanity typified by yobs and their celebrity counterparts will be a puzzle to many Scots.

Kevs, for instance, is a term common around London. There is some suggestion it may have come from the name Kevin, from the association with the Harry Enfield character, Kevin the gormless teenager.
