When one thinks of Mike Tyson, one doesn't tend to picture him as an introspective soul prone to quoting Oscar Wilde. Not unless you somehow confuse him with that other noted pugilist, Morrissey. But that was how the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world was portrayed in director James Toback's fascinating feature-length documentary, Tyson.
Showing as part of the ever reliable True Stories strand, the film was compiled from over 30 hours of interview footage with its subject, who also executive produced. Although it was essentially a prolonged attempt to justify and defend himself from the many allegations that have dogged him, it was less hubristic than you might expect.See the full content of this document
