The psyches of celebrities are, as we know, of vital interest to us all. But now that the Parkinson Age has passed, and chat shows are a showcase for them to look embarrassed as Graham Norton displays kinky websites, we have only the character-under-fire revealing likes of the reality shows to truly understand them. Which is fine, but it's hard to really get at the roots of a former pop star or C-list actor's fundamental personalities while they're trying to swallow cockroaches.

So attempting to fill the gap is a new format, The House That Made Me. In the second episode, it was Boy George's turn to have his childhood living rooms and teenage bedroom recreated in their 1970s glory to provoke some reminiscences.
