TERRIFIED passengers told yesterday how they thought they were going to die when smoke began pouring into the cabin of their aircraft and the captain took drastic action to get it back on the ground.

Just days after fire engulfed an Air France plane which crashed in Toronto, passengers on the Flybe flight from Birmingham to Edinburgh recounted the horror when they realised the front of the plane was filling up with smoke.
