BRITAIN'S goods trade gap with the rest of the world narrowed slightly in July but the deficit on oil hit a record high, official data yesterday revealed.
The Office for National Statistics said that the gap shrank to some GBP 7.7 billion in July from an upwardly revised GBP 8bn in June. Economists had forecast a deficit of GBP 7.5bn.See the full content of this document
