A HISTORIC boundary wall in the Pleasance at Falkland, in Fife, which is believed to date from the 1600s, has been saved from demolition.

Work to tear down the wall - only 100 yards from Falkland Palace - had already begun after a 20m section was removed for "safety purposes" this month.
