BILL Walker, the 77-year-old former Tory MP, was last night elected as deputy chairman of the Scottish Conservatives - beating Jackson Carlaw, the incumbent, by just eight votes.
Mr Walker, as well known for his robust right-wing views as he was for wearing the kilt in the Commons as an MP, secured 2,518 votes to Mr Carlaw's 2,510 in a ballot of Tory party members.See the full content of this document
