RISING fuel and staff costs have wiped almost GBP 2 million from the profits of bus operator First Edinburgh.
Accounts newly filed with Companies House reveal that the firm, part of quoted transport giant FirstGroup, made a pre-tax profit of GBP 1.6m in the year to the end of March 2006, against just over GBP 3.5m a year earlier.
