AN ANGUS-based industrial textiles company is targeting a multi- million pound sales boost after securing a grant to help devise products that can counter terrorist attacks and improve aircraft fuel-efficiency, writes Laura Harding.
Don & Low has secured a GBP 144,000 R&D Plus grant from Scottish Enterprise which will help it design a range of products including anti-ballistic panels. The money will also be used to develop fabrics to insulate and ventilate buildings more effectively and to devise products that could improve how cars are recycled. It is anticipated that the grant will contribute to an annual increase in sales of GBP 2.2m for the company, which employs 500 people and has a turnover of GBP 48m.See the full content of this document
