THIS week's multifarious elections have repeatedly garnered the adjective "boring" in the media. It is always a professional challenge to write about something tedious for the obvious reason that the article runs the risk of sending the reader to sleep. One's only alternative is to make the whole thing sound much more exciting than it is and thereby run the risk of undermining the premise of the argument. Cue lots of media personality pieces about the vain Robert Kilroy-Silk.
